Haylie Fitzgibbon
Haylie Fitzgibbon is a multi-faceted artist born and raised in Louisville, Ky. she has a BFA in studio art from the University of Louisville. Through the combination of printmaking and drawing, she explores themes of childhood nostalgia, nature, and the interplay between beauty and chaos in the world. She has exhibited works at the Schneider Gallery, MIAD, Louisville Slugger Museum, and, most notably, in Louisville City Hall. Haylie believes that through her art, we can discover the interconnection between ourselves and nature, as we are alike in our ability to find beauty, yet also chaos within ourselves.
Freaks of Nature shop
At young age, around 10 year old haylie had a tumblr account thanks to her older sister. On here, young Haylie would upload a video series called “Freaks of Nature, where she would go outside and observe the natural world around her and the so-called freaks of nature she saw.
Now as an adult, she has grown Freaks of Nature into a brand where she sells her screen-printed shirts and prints that bring the whimsy of nature and childhood nostalgia into her art that she shares with the world.

With my art, I hope to inspire others to let their freak of nature side show with embracing your childhood self of wonder and to observe the beauty of nature around us. as a Louisville local artist, I want the art scene to thrive to where we as artists can feel free to perform and to showcase the art we make that keeps us sane in this crazy world.
